About Us
Between us we have served a great number of families in Attleborough, Wymondham and the surrounding villages over the years. Rosedale Funeral Home was established to enable us to follow our desire to work for an independent business, where we can focus on the needs of the bereaved families.

In 2006, we opened a funeral home at Yard House, High Street, Attleborough and were often asked, “When are you coming to Wymondham?”. We established our premises at 16 Middleton Street, in the heart of Wymondham and are honoured to be bringing a much needed service to the people of Wymondham and the surrounding area.

It has been a privilege to get involved in the community of Wymondham - supporting the towns Fair Trade status, sponsoring Browick Road School's new vegetable garden under the Brighter Wymondham campaign, fundraising for the Wymondham Lions and we are particularly proud of our project to provide local schools with resources for bereaved children, and our links with the Green Team at Wymondham High School.

Andy Free

Dip FD
Andy Free is a qualified Funeral Director who has lived in Attleborough with his wife Vicky for more than a decade, with their two children, Lewis and Jade. He has previously worked in the towns of Wymondham and Attleborough and has been a Funeral Director for several years. His hobbies include cabinet making, golf and football.

Alec Butcher

Alec Butcher is a qualified Funeral Director with many years experience and joined Rosedale not long after its inception, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, the highest of standards and impeccable attention to detail.

Alec is an adventurer at heart, and has participated in many self-planned charity challenges, most notably the Three Peaks Challenge and canoeing across Scotland, raising thousands of pounds for charities close to his heart. He can be seen out and about on his pedal cycle most days, whilst holidays usually involve touring on his Harley Davidson.

Charlene Wenn

Charlene Wenn has always known Norfolk as her home and has close connections with her surrounding communities. After spending a year in America and graduating from university in Hertfordshire with a BSc in Environmental Management, Charlene returned to the local area, shortly before joining Rosedale on a graduate internship to assist with calculating our carbon footprint and developing the country’s first carbon neutral funeral.

Charlene now lives with her close family near Wymondham. She is a keen traveller, loving to meet new people and visit different places and has a strong interest in the environment, the local countryside and wildlife. She is a creative person that has a variety of craft hobbies and also actively supports her brother with his motor racing. Charlene is currently studying for her Diploma in Funeral Directing.
