Christian Fairbrother

Funeral Director - Dip FD

Christian Fairbrother joined Rosedale in April 2011 and is a Funeral Director based at the Diss branch. His role as Funeral Director involves being on-call during the week and at weekends to bring the deceased into our care from nursing homes and residential addresses, arranging all aspects of funerals with our families, being there to conduct the funeral on the day and to look after the family, arranging Funeral Plans, arranging repatriations, coffin preparation, all aspects of caring for the deceased including dressing and carrying out viewings in our Chapel of Rest.  Christian also runs the ‘Introduction to the Funeral Profession’ training days at Diss for nursing home staff, doctors’ staff, independent carers and students.

He says the best and most rewarding thing about his role is having the honour and privilege to arrange and conduct the funerals of our families, who come to us at what can be one of the most difficult and emotional events that someone can experience during their life.

Christian has lived in Diss for the last twenty years with his wife Julia and their cat Dottie, and their dog Dash. In his spare time he enjoys going out running and is a member of The Heywood Joggers Group in Diss. He also enjoys cycling, music festivals, gardening and is a massive Formula 1 fan. He also likes watching football, holidays abroad and camping trips as well as spending time relaxing with his family and friends. He is also a volunteer helper at Diss Youth Group as well as being their Treasurer.
