Rosedale Funeral Home was established in 2004 as an independent business, where we focus on the needs of bereaved families.  Our funeral directors have hundreds of years of experience between them.  We are a family business, independent of national groups and we believe it makes a difference.

At Rosedale Funeral Home it is our belief that each funeral arrangement should be tailored to suit the character of the person that has died and the individual needs of the family.  We pride ourselves on our premises, personal service and attention to detail, whilst remaining competitively priced.

Meet the Rosedale staff

Simon and Anne Beckett-Allen

Simon and Anne, the company directors, live in Scole with their 3 children, Harriet, Thomas and Victoria-Rose. From Rosedale’s conception, Simon has been responsible for refurbishing each of the funeral homes to an extremely high standard, ensuring a homely and comfortable environment for families to make funeral arrangements, more recently he has taken over the role of digging and preparing graves. In his spare time, Simon serves on Scole Parish Council and is a keen chef and motorcycle enthusiast. He holds a private pilots license and is currently building an RV12 light aircraft.

Anne joined the funeral service from the age of 16 and is now one of the most highly qualified funeral directors in the country. Anne is a qualified tutor for the Diploma in Funeral Directing exams and a VQ assessor and sits on the educational committee for the British Institute of Funeral Directors. In her spare time she runs triathlons, marathons and swimathons and is currently training for an ironman competition. When time permits, she packs shoe boxes for "Operation Christmas Child" and is trying to learn Russian to better communicate with Dasha who visits with the Children from Chernobyl and stays with Anne and Simon every summer.
