Dementia Action Week 2021 will be taking place this year from 17th – 23rd May 2021.
Dementia Action Week is organised by Alzheimer’s Society and is a national event that sees the public coming together to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.
This year Dementia Action Week aims to raise awareness of the care system by urging to government to reform social care. 1 in 3 of us born in the UK will go on to develop dementia in our lifetime, and there will be 1 million people living with dementia by 2025. Dementia care is one of the greatest challenges facing our society and we all have a role to play in making the UK a dementia-friendly place to live.
“With the right support people with dementia can live a good quality of life, doing what matters most to them for as long as possible.”
