‘What Happens at a Funeral’ film launch

19 February, 2020

What Happens At A Funeral

A film to be used as a resource for children to explain to them what happens at a funeral is being launched on Wednesday 19th February at The Assembly House in Norwich.

Rosedale have always tried to find ways to involve, educate and help children who are bereaved, whether it be by building a church style dolls house or having a supply of books appropriate for all age groups. For more information please look at our section on bereaved children.

Staff from Rosedale Funeral Home collaborated with the Youth Panel at Nelson’s Journey to create a script that would help children understand the various aspects of a funeral. It includes a service at a church and crematorium, a religious minister and civil celebrant as well as other aspects such as visiting a Chapel of Rest. There will also be accompanying training resources which can be used in conjunction with the film to maximise its helpfulness for young people.

Once the film has been screened and officially launched it will be available on our website and on YouTube for everyone to be able to access.
