Here at Rosedale, we are completely willing to discuss all costs with you honestly and openly.
We understand that buying a funeral can be expensive and confusing, particularly during such a difficult time. Please do not ever feel embarrassed to discuss funeral costs and finances with us. This not only gives us the chance to discuss different options with you but will also give you the opportunity to check and compare prices without needing to commit.
If price is a concern, we can advise on ways in which the funeral can be kept very simple yet still be dignified, for example we can offer the loan of a spray of silk flowers for the coffin or advise on certain allocations at the crematorium where the cremation fee is reduced. We can also offer advice about making a claim towards the funeral expenses from the Department of Work and Pensions, and we can also advise on other bereavement related benefits to which you may be entitled, some of which are not means tested.
We feel that our charges are clear and transparent and are fully signed up members of the Fair Funeral Pledge. This means that we will be open about the price of our services, including third party costs such as the crematorium, church or celebrant to name a few as well as the amount of deposit required and when the balance is due.
Rosedale are here to guide and support you and remember that there is no such thing as a ‘silly’ question.
