Over £3500 was raised in a charity golf day organised by Rosedale Funeral Home in association with Barclays Bank. Sixteen teams of four golfers took part to raise money for Nature and Nurture Therapeutic Services, a bereavement charity for children, and Emmaus, a charity that aims to combat poverty and homelessness.
“We were thrilled that so many people participated”, said Lucy Coote, Community Ambassador at Rosedale, “We managed to raise more money than we expected which will be split between the two very worthwhile charities”.
Alongside the golf there was a fantastic raffle with donations given by local businesses which ensured that there were plenty of prizes to be won. A generous donation of half a butchered pig was won in an additional raffle with tickets that were sold leading up to the day itself.
Thanks must be passed on to Bungay and Waveney Golf Club, George and Wendy for their help and support.
