Mark Hall

Funeral Administrator and part-time Marketing and Tutoring Assistant – Dip FAA, Dip FD, Cert Ed, MBIFD

Mark started with Rosedale in 2012 after having previously worked in large commercial retail companies and running his own successful artisan jam and chutney business.

His job involves all aspects of administration from taking a first call and offering any advice a family might need to making all the necessary arrangements to bring the funeral together and supporting the Funeral Director in the mortuary. As one of only 19 NAFD qualified tutors in the country, Mark loves setting up training plans, rolling them out, giving the training and then seeing that member of staff at a later date and hearing them say ‘thank you for what you taught me, I use it every day now.’

Mark believes that it is the fantastic attitude from Anne Beckett Allen that makes Rosedale a fantastic place to work. So although everyone is here to do a job, the question is what do you want to do? What do you want to learn? What can we do to help you? He has never experienced such a caring and we ‘want to’ invest in you environment before.

His most recent aim is to put a model railway set around his back garden. He often pops along to East Harling Old School Hall, now the village hall for East Harling, which was his primary and junior school. It also reminds him of the day his mum passed her driving test and proudly came to collect him in her green Ford Cortina. He also, when he has the chance, goes to East Harling Church which is where his mum quietly rests.
