Smalls for all

As a small family run, community focused funeral home Rosedale Funeral Home is always looking for ways we can help support local charities and community initiatives.

We have been nationally recognised for our fundraising efforts and community involvement and this year we have decided to go a little further afield and fundraise internationally as well.

We are holding a collection for ‘Smalls For All’ a pant-tastic charity that collects and distributes underwear to women and children in Africa who need our help. They help those living in orphanages, slums, IDP camps and schools, as well as providing underwear to hospitals to help those suffering from medical conditions like obstetric fistula.

Although giving pants and bras may seem like a small thing, it can make a life-changing difference, for example having pants can help teenage girls complete their education without having to miss school each month during their period. In this day and age it is shocking to think that underwear is a luxury some people can’t afford.

We will also be collecting sanitary products to be distributed by Waveney Food Bank to help tackle the problem of ‘Period Poverty’ and ‘The Homeless Period.’ Although thousands selflessly give to help those in need, donations are mostly made up of food with few sanitary or hygiene products. Going without sanitary products is not only demoralising, it’s risking their health.

Items needed to make a difference are:
New Ladies pants size 8-16
New Children’s pants age 3-15
New or Gently Worn bras
Well worn bras that can be recycled in the UK to help raise funds
Sanitary Towels
Tampons
Hygiene Wipes

The staff of Rosedale Funeral Home will be collecting items over the next few months.
