Training in the funeral profession
Rosedale Training offers specialist courses in funeral services as well as Mental Health First Aid and Bereavement Support. Run by Anne Beckett-Allen and Mark Hall, they offer a range of Diploma level qualifications, perfect if you are already employed in the profession or are looking for a career change.
Introduction to the Funeral Profession
This is a one day course giving you a rare insight into the different career paths available in the funeral profession, run by a National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) registered tutor.
Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Dip. FAA)
This diploma course is specifically designed for those currently employed as funeral arrangers and administrators wishing to achieve a stand-alone qualification. It can also be acquired as a stepping stone to enable progression towards the new NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing.
Diploma in Funeral Directing
This diploma course is designed for funeral arrangers and administrators who are looking to progress into the role of funeral directing. It is also ideal for existing Funeral Directors to gain the comprehensive knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the role.
Funeral Service Awareness Online Training
This course is designed for those not yet working within the funeral profession but who are interested in pursuing it as a career.
Civil Funeral Celebrants
Being a Civil Funeral Celebrant involves meeting with bereaved families, usually at home, to develop a funeral to be held at local crematoria and burial grounds. This four day training course is externally accredited by the Open College Network at Level 3. This is not offered by Rosedale Training but comes highly recommended.
Rosedale Training does not offer embalmer training but The British Institute of Embalmers offers a comprehensive training programme comprising both theory and practical examinations.
